Privacy policy
This policy explains how Journal Istools handles personal data when you visit journalistools.com. It was last updated on 25 août 2026.
Who publishes this site
The publisher is KRISH NEIL HOLDINGS INC., registered address 1050 26TH AVE W, VANCOUVER BC V6H 2A5, CANADA, registration number BC1012880. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
Journal Istools is a closed editorial publication. There are no user accounts, no analytics products, no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, no social plugins and no third-party scripts of any kind on this site.
The contact form on the contact page does not transmit data to a server and does not store messages, names or email addresses. It only shows a thank-you state in your browser. We say this plainly: the form sends nothing and keeps nothing.
Cookie-consent choice
The only information we store on your device is your cookie-consent choice. The key is named cookie-consent. It is kept in local storage in your browser. Its value is either accept or refuse. It lasts until you clear site data or use the Cookie preferences control in the footer to reset the choice. Nothing is written to storage before you select Accept or Refuse.
Server logs
Like most hosted websites, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, date and time, requested URL and user agent) for security and diagnostics. Those logs are retained by the host for a limited period consistent with its operating practices, typically no longer than necessary for security investigation, and are not used by Journal Istools to build reader profiles.
Purposes, legal bases and retention
- Remembering cookie consent — legal basis: your consent (or your refusal, which we also record so we do not ask again). Retention: until you clear it or reopen the notice.
- Responding to email you send to [email protected] — legal basis: legitimate interest in answering readers, or steps prior to a contract if your message concerns a rights request. Retention: only as long as needed to handle the correspondence.
- Hosting security logs — legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. Retention: controlled by the host's log rotation policy.
No sale or international transfer by us
We do not sell, rent, share or commercially transfer personal data. We do not send reader data abroad for advertising or analytics, because we do not operate those systems.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal data that concerns you, and the right to data portability where relevant. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your request. Because we keep almost no reader data, many requests will simply confirm that we hold no profile about you beyond any email you chose to send.
Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the supervisory authority for this publication's market. Information about how to contact the Office is available at priv.gc.ca.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete that correspondence from our mailbox where applicable.
Policy updates
We will revise this page when our practices change. The date at the top of this policy shows the latest update: 25 août 2026.
